Arroz Con Leche Pudding


Ingredients: (English)

  • White Rice - 1/2 cup

  • Butter - 1/2 stick

  • Milk - 2 cups

  • Sugar - 1/3 cup

  • Cinnamon Stick - 1 stick

  • Salt - 1 pinch

  • Vanilla Extract - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Ground Cinnamon

  • Raisins (Optional)

Instructions: (English) Serves 4

  1. Bring the water to a boil, then add the rice, reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

  2. While the rice is cooking, use a medium sized pot to soak the cinnamon stick in 1 cup of milk.

  3. When rice is cooked, add your rice to medium pot containing the milk with the cinnamon stick. Turn heat to low.

  4. Add sugar.

  5. Add the salt then cook for 10 minutes stirring regularly.

  6. After the rice has absorbed 3/4 of the milk add the butter.

  7. Next, add the remaining cup of milk.

  8. Then add the vanilla.

  9. Stir to mix the ingredients well. Continue cooking over low heat for 2 minutes.

  10. Turn off the heat then cover and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  11. The rice pudding will have absorbed much of the liquid but it should still be creamy.

  12. If you find that it is too dry, stir in 1/4 cup of milk at a time and heat for a couple more minutes until you get the level of moisture that you'd like.

  13. If you find that it is too moist, just cook over low heat until enough liquid has evaporated and watch for the moist.

  14. Final Step: Serve warm or cold. Spoon rice pudding into a dessert bowl or cup then dust with ground cinnamon and garnish with a bit of cinnamon stick for a final touch to your presentation. Enjoy your Arroz Con Leche Pudding!

  • Pazas (Opcional)

Instrucciones: (Espanol) 4 Porciones

  1. Pon el agua a hervir y después añadir el arroz y reduce lo caliente y lo cocinas por 20 minutos

  2. Mientras el arroz se cocina, usa un sarten separado y le pones un trozo de canela y una copa de leche

  3. Cuando el arroz esté listo, agregale el arroz a la leche con el trozo de canela y baja el fuego al nivel bajo.

  4. Agrega la azucar

  5. Agrega la sal y cocina diez minutos revolviendo regularmente

  6. Después que el arroz absorbe la leche agrega la mantequilla

  7. Después, agrega la taza de leche que sobró

  8. Luego agrega la vainilla

  9. Agite para mezclar los ingredientes seguiremos cocinando a fuego lento durante 2 minutos

  10. Apaga el fuego y déjalo reposar durante 5 minutos
